A friend sent me a picture of a December middy in Lapland, Finland. It’s beautiful, don’t you think? I told her I would go crazy without the sun for so long. But then I remembered that this same place looks as bright as a Californian afternoon at midnight in June. It’s the same with different seasons in life, in relationships, – everything. We can’t have the sun all day long or a bright midday year-round. There’s a bit of everything. Every season has its pleasures and benefits; its sadness and its delays. Yet days won’t be unlit for long, as the whole year won’t be dark forever. Enjoy the covering of darkness, wherever you are. The lazy sun is on its way out. Happy holidays!
